    To prepare the stewed cod, first peel the potatoes 1 and cut them into cubes of about 3 cm 2. Clean and finely slice the onion 3.

    Halve the chili pepper 4. In a pan, heat the oil together with the crushed garlic in its skin, the chili pepper 5 and the parsley stems 6.

    Also add the onions to the pan 7 and sauté for 7-8 minutes, until the onions become transparent. Then add the potatoes 8 and brown for 5 minutes, stirring often. Deglaze with white wine 9 and let all the alcohol evaporate, stirring occasionally.

    Now add the crushed peeled tomatoes 10, mix and season with salt and pepper 11. Cover with a lid 12 and cook for 30 minutes over medium heat, stirring occasionally, or until the potatoes are tender.

    Meanwhile, cut the cod fillets into smaller pieces 13, removing any bones. After 30 minutes, remove the parsley stems and garlic from the pan 14, then place the cod 15.

    Cover again with a lid 16 and cook for another 20 minutes or until the fish is cooked. In the meantime, finely chop the parsley leaves 17 and sprinkle them in the pan at the end of cooking 18.
